This IR remote Wi-Fi adapter allows users to use a smart phone or tablet to send the IR remote and RF remote control signal over the 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi network or 2G/3G/4G mobile network. So the internet connection is required for using this device.
[Note]: 5.8Ghz Wi-Fi network is not supported by this device.

Easy Learning All IR Remote Control Functions
The IR remote control app provides a comprehensive list of brands and manufacturers for equipments such as TVs, projectors, cable boxes, air conditioners, DVD players, etc for choosing the template.

If your home appliance is not listed in the app, you can customize the basic template from the app by copying each control button of the original IR remote manually and define your control buttons with name of your own choice.
