Infrared (IR) remote controllers have limited range and generally only work
in the same room as the audio/video (A/V) component it controls as line of sight
is needed for communication to occur. This R Remote Control Range Extender kit
uses a wireless transmitter that converts the remote controller's IR signal into
a RF radio frequency signal that can operate through walls, doors, and around
corners, etc. with maximum transmission distance up to 310ft for wide open flat
areas.
This remote control range extender kit gives users the ability to control their A/V devices from greater distances or even from another room, allowing added configuration versatility for multi-room or outdoor applications, without having to stay within range of your remote controlled device.
This remote control extender kit enables users to extend the range of their existing remote controller so to operate DVD player, home theater system, cable box, satellite receiver, audio video receiver, etc., virtually anywhere within their home.
The remote control extender consists of two main units - one local IR remote transmitter, which accepts the incoming IR signal from the remote control and wirelessly transmits it to the receiver unit of this kit positioned near the controlled device. Then the remote control signal will be emitted toward the device to be controlled through the tiny IR remote sensor emitter wire plugged into the receiver unit.

Multiple Device Control
The IR remote sensor probe increases the reception range for the remote controller and
allows user to easily hide transmitter unit behind the flat TV or inside the A/V cabinet.
Its 3-header remote control sensor probe allows users to control up to 3 video/audio devices at a time. Its sensor probe wire has 3 emitter heads and each head has a self-adhesive pad that allows it to be stuck directly to the IR sensor window of your audio/video equipment. Using this configuration gives users the capability to control up to 3 different A/V equipments through one setup with highest level of signal transmission accuracy.
Easy Extension
This remote control extender kit use a 2.5mm "mono" plug on one end
for connection with its IR sensor probe, which has 3 split headers on the other end. Each
emitter header has cord length of 3ft, 5ft and 6.5ft accordingly. If you wish to
extend this sensor emitter wire for longer distance, you can simply use longer 2.5mm
audio extension cable or you can use a
3.5mm stereo audio extension cable with 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapters applied on both
ends of the wire since 3.5mm stereo cable is more readily available for much
longer distance.
