A typical video processor using 8-bit engine can ONLY reproduce up to 72% of the NTSC or PAL color range with up to 16 million colors. However a full-fledged 10-bit processor can reproduce up to 112% of the originated color range and with over 1 billion colors. What this means to you is that this unit delivers pictures with more vivid and vibrant colors through its 10-bit ADC processor than units with 8-bit video engine built in.
High Performance De-interlacing Processing
Poor interlaced-to-progressive conversion
is especially problematic as TV screens get bigger, which often amplifies artifacts created in the conversion process, making

typical problems of watching standard SD video on a digital HD display like the
artifacts and burring edges will be eliminated through using this HDMI scaler,
